Upcoming Pennsylvania CLE for comp professionals on both sides of the aisle

Leading workers' comp attorneys will discuss evidence, new laws, procedure and appeals.

The National Business Institute, an organization offering continuing legal education for professionals, is offering a course entitled "Workers' Compensation: Critical Essentials from Both Sides of the Aisle" on Tuesday, December 13 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

The course will provide valuable insight to attorneys, general counsel, HR professionals, paralegals and workers' compensation administrators, whether they represent injured workers, employers or insurance carriers. Because of her extensive experience and accomplishments in Pennsylvania workers' compensation law, attorney Katherine L. Niven has been asked to lead a portion of the course.

Ms. Niven's segment of the seminar will be called "Using Evidence To Your Client's Advantage." In addition to familiar topics like medical records and witness statements, she will discuss how claimants and respondents can handle complex issues like social media evidence and disputes over doctor competency.

Other presenters include:

  • Lucas J. Csovelak of Weber Gallagher
  • Christopher C. Scott of McDonald At Law
  • Ronald T. Tomasko of JSDC Law Offices

The seminar will be held at the Courtyard by Marriott Harrisburg, but an audio version of the course and reading materials are available for those who cannot attend. To learn more about the seminar or register, please visit the National Business Institute's event page.
