Bailey Secures Compulsory Arbitration Award In Franklin County

Attorney Rebecca Bailey of Marzzacco Injury Law recently won an arbitration hearing conducted in front of a three-arbiter panel in Franklin County in a personal injury matter.  The award was ultimately two and one-half times more than the last settlement offer made by the other party’s insurance company.

In the case, Bailey’s client suffered a right wrist injury when she dove out of the way of a vehicle that struck her home. In addition to the wrist injury, the client also had neck and back pain but did not receive significant treatment for those injuries. The client also had significant pre-existing neck and back pain, which the defendant’s insurance company emphasized in pre-arbitration negotiations. 

After a full hearing, the panel returned the award in Bailey’s client’s favor. The award is impressive as Franklin County is a difficult venue for injured victims and also because the Defendant’s insurance company refused to settle the case for the amount returned by the panel after the hearing.
