What Is a Truck’s No Zone?

If you need to pass, the left side is generally safer than the right. Even so, it is best to pass steadily and avoid lingering next to the truck.
Right-Side No Zone
The right-side No Zone is often the largest blind spot on the truck. It can stretch along the entire right side of the cab and trailer and may extend across more than one lane.
This is one of the most dangerous places for a smaller vehicle to be. A truck driver may not see a car in this area when changing lanes or making a wide right turn.
Whenever possible, do not pass on the right side of a large truck.
