Don’t wait to address a workers’ compensation concern

If you have been injured on the job, you know that your health is more important than anything else. Unfortunately, you also know that your employer may not play by the rules when it comes to workers' compensation.

Can you get workers' compensation for depression?

Dealing with depression outside of work is difficult enough, but when there is a stigma still present about this mental health condition, it can be almost unbearable to deal with at work. The Partnership for Workplace Mental Health and Employers Health have launched Right Direction, which is a campaign to education both employees and employers about the condition.

Study shows increase in fatal accidents in the workplace

According to federal data analyzed by the National Safety Council, unintentional injuries in the workplace have risen substantially in the past few years. In fact, 2015 saw the most unintentional injuries in the workplace since 2008. More than 4,000 workers died due to unintentional injuries in 2014. This indicates an increase of about six percent from 2013 to 2014. This is the first time the number of preventable workplace deaths has increased so significantly in 20 years. In the past two decades, over 90,000 workers have died.
